The prints are here again! If you have been watching some of the Fall/Winter 2012 runway shows you must have noticed that a number of designers have opted for matching printed-pieces. This trend can be seen in the F/W '12 collections of designers such as Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Rochas and countless others as they have taken their print obsessions even further this season, with jackets and coats matched with pants.
The trend on the runways

The Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2012 runway show was filled with suits and many of them with a fun print, which in my opinion, added a bit more femininity to the outfits.

The Louis Vuitton collection was filled with many different coats and vests which had an old world feel to them. This includes the head to toe printed outfits which were covered in embellishments.

As well as being bold by having the same print from head to toe, the outfits in the Prada Fall '12 collection included many fun geometric shapes. As well as some embellishments here and there and to finish off nearly every looks there were belts, some even matching the print in the outfit.

Here are some other looks from the Fall '12 collection of Giambattista Valli, Pail & Joe and Rochas. These and some other designers such as Derek Lam and Erdem only added a few head to toe printed outfits, but in my opinion, these served as centre pieces as they really showed off the designers' unique prints.
The trend on the streets
This trend is reserved for the brave! Wearing a print from head to toe can be quite scary so if this is not something you would go for, you can always try shorts instead of pants. Also it is good to choose a modern silhouette as well as keeping the accessories to a minimum for a chic and modern look.
