Usually seen as a trend for the warmer seasons, designers and have shown that this is not always the case and that feminine florals can work for the cooler seasons of the year. Different from the ladylike florals seen in spring, the ones shown in numerous Fall 2012 collections have come joined up with other trends on the powerful, edgy and sophisticate side. Florals were incorporated with military inspired silhouettes at the Rag & Bone show, the baroque extravaganza at Dolce & Gabbana as well as with some of the head to toe printed ensembles at Osman. The flowers were not only reserved for the clothing but also for many matching accessories like shoes, totes and clutches. Here are some of my favourite floral pieces seen in this year's fall collections.

There is not much point in talking about how this trend came to be on the runways without giving you some ideas on how to apply it to our everyday life and so... Above are five different pieces as ideas on what floral items to wear for the later seasons of the year, from high-street retailers to a high-end piece.
