New York fashion week for fall 2013 has come to a close, leaving us with an abundant amount of inspiration coming from wonderful directions. One area that struck me was the beauty aspect of it all- the makeup, hair, nails. Particularly the looks with smoky shadows and black eyeliner. These looks reflected the edgy tough feel that NYFW gives off while still keeping it glam and feminine as all fashion weeks do. With bold smoky eyes at Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, little else was done with the makeup giving the eyes that attention they deserve. While at Anna Sui the bold swoop of liner on the upper lash and dots of black on the lower lash resembled Twiggy's iconic sixties look. And at Rag & Bone, the liner drawn on the crease was just perfect for a classic, sixties-inspired, minimalist look.
